Call 2026 KinCor-CONCOR voor hartekinderen

Door deze subsidieoproep stelt Stichting Hartekind €150.000,- beschikbaar met als doel om drie projecten, ieder voor maximaal €50.000,- subsidie, te honoreren. Het onderzoek dient gebruik te maken van de KinCor-CONCOR kwaliteitsregistratie.
Binnen het OUTREACH-consortium, gefinancierd door Stichting Hartekind en de Hartstichting, zijn de patiëntregistraties KinCor (aangeboren hartafwijkingen bij kinderen) en CONCOR (aangeboren hartafwijkingen bij volwassenen) geïntegreerd tot één kwaliteitsregistratie. Deze geïntegreerde registratie biedt gestandaardiseerde informatie over diagnoses, behandelingen en resultaten op de lange termijn. Dit geeft unieke mogelijkheden voor hoogwaardig registeronderzoek.
Ondanks de waardevolle data die deze registratie bevat, wordt haar potentieel nog onvoldoende benut. Daarom opent Stichting Hartekind een nieuwe onderzoekscall. Met deze subsidieoproep nodigen wij onderzoekers uitdrukkelijk uit om gebruik te maken van de KinCor-CONCOR registratie, als basis voor nieuw te starten onderzoeksprojecten. Om in aanmerking te komen voor deze subsidie moeten onderzoeksvoorstellen bijdragen aan het behalen van de doelstellingen van Stichting Hartekind: Het vergroten van de overlevingskansen en het verbeteren van de kwaliteit van leven van kinderen met een hartafwijking.
Early- of mid-carrière onderzoeker
De aanvrager dient een early- of mid-carrière onderzoeker (PhD-kandidaat of postdoc) te zijn. Om in aanmerking te komen, mag de verdediging van het proefschrift niet meer dan 5 jaar vóór de uiterste indiendatum van de volledige aanvraag van deze oproep hebben plaatsgevonden. De aanvrager dient te zijn aangesloten bij in een in Nederland gevestigde kennisinstelling. Subsidiabele instellingen zijn universiteiten of hogescholen, universitair medische centra, instituten van de Koninklijke Nederlandse Akademie van Wetenschappen (KNAW) en topklinische ziekenhuizen.
De aanvrager dient te zijn aangesloten bij een onderzoeksgroep met een focus op cardiovasculaire aandoeningen.

In this funding call, Hartekind Foundation is making €150.000,- available to support three projects, each eligible for a maximum grant of €50,000. The research must make use of the KinCor CONCOR quality registry and must demonstrably contribute to increasing survival rates and/or improving the quality of life of children with a heart disease.
Within the OUTREACH consortium, funded by the Hartekind Foundation and the Dutch Heart Foundation, the KinCor registry (congenital heart disease in children) and the CONCOR registry (congenital heart disease in adults) have been integrated into a single quality registry. This integrated registry provides standardized information on diagnoses, treatments, and long-term outcomes, creating unique opportunities for high-quality registry-based research.
Despite the valuable data contained within the KinCor CONCOR registry, its full potential for scientific research remains underutilized. To address this, the Hartekind Foundation has established this funding call. Through this initiative, researchers are explicitly encouraged to use the KinCor CONCOR registry as the foundation for their research, with the ultimate aim of contributing to the core mission of the Hartekind Foundation: increasing survival rates and improving the quality of life of children with a heart disease.
Early- of mid-carreer researcher
The applicant must be an early- or mid-career researcher (PhD candidate or postdoctoral researcher). To be eligible, the PhD defense must have taken place no more than five years prior to the deadline for submission of the full application. The applicant must be employed at a knowledge institution based in the Netherlands. Eligible institutions include universities, university medical centers (UMCs), institutes of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW), and top clinical hospitals (STZ).
The applicant must be affiliated with a research group focused on cardiovascular diseases.
